Ian McCabe
Master Colorist and Color Education Director
Ian McCabe is a Master Colorist at Nival Salon and Spa. Starting in May 2010, Ian has been building a robust client base, particularly for his expertise in balayage, a distinctive French technique where a colorist hand-paints highlights. Ian’s work has earned him the opportunities to work with some of the top stylists and colorists in the industry, including Nancy Braun, Jo Blackwell Preston, Ted Gibson, Jack Howard and Lena Ott. Ian is a true believer in continuing to improve his coloring skills. His love for color is shown through his dedication to teach for L’Oreal from August 2007 through February 2011. During this time, Ian traveled throughout the East Coast to share his technique with fellow colorists.
Jane Lewers
Master Stylist and Colorist
Referred to as one of the Top Colorists in DC by Washingtonian magazine, Jane Lewers has been cutting and coloring hair for over 30 years in a career that spans all phases of design and color. Jane is an American Board Certified Hair Colorist and is certified as a Keratin complex technician. Jane is vigilant with keeping up her education. Having an international flair for hair, she has studied at Vidal Sasson in both London and Chicago locations and at Redken in New York City. As a leading Master Stylist and Colorist, Jane has a played an integral role at Nival Salon and Spa. Always excited about the latest cutting and coloring techniques, Jane’s passion for her craft transcends past her impressive qualifications.
Marybel Campos
Senior Colorist
Marybel specializes in subtle natural colors for all hair textures from fine to coarse and curly. As a seasoned beauty insider, she has 20 years of experience. Marybel works closely with celebrity stylist Adrin Seven Washington as his “go-to” color expert. Marybel can create a variety of looks from demure to glamorous. Whether you’re looking for something dramatic or natural, Marybel’s versatility can help achieve a multi-dimensional, rich color to match your personality.
Jessica Dunaway
Senior Colorist
Jessica Dunaway is a senior colorist and makeup artist at Nival Salon. Since moving to DC Jessica has rapidly cultivated a committed clientele. Jessica is known for her lustrous blondes and rich, yet subtle approach to color. She has given interviews for The Washingtonian, InStyle, ELLE, People and TALK magazines. Jessica has styled numerous celebrities including; Claire Danes, Molly Sims, Debra Messing, Vera Farmiga, Miranda Cosgrove, Rosamund Pike, Zac Efron, Naomie Harris, Lisa Swayze, Mandy Moore, Forbes Magazine’s Top 5 Most Powerful Women and CNN Top 1 Global Leader Cynthia Carroll, Deputy Chief of Staff Nancy Ann Deparle and NYFW designer, Lela Rose. Jessica has worked backstage at TNT’s Christmas in Washington and New York Fashion Week. Her hair color has been featured in ELLE, Vogue Girl Korea, Seventeen, Harper’s Bazaar Australia, Australian Cosmo, both US and Australian Glamour and Grazia magazine as well as Urban Outfitters, Lake and Stars, and Earnest Sewn campaigns. She is the exclusive colorist to top model Natalie Hockey and local hip hop sensation Kid Named Breezy.
