Dr. Caren Sadikman

Botox and Juvederm

Caren Exelbert Sadikman, MD, a native Washingtonian, is a physician who specializes in facial sculpting through Botox and fillers.  Dr. Sadikman graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University in 1996, and from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2000.  She trained at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, in internal medicine and physical rehabilitation.  In 2004 and 2005, Dr. Sadikman completed a dermatology fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center, and subsequently trained in the use of lasers for hair removal, vein removal and facial rejuvenation, as well as in the administration of Botox and dermal fillers for facial wrinkling and laxity.  Dr. Sadikman now exclusively focuses her time and studies on facial enhancement through Botox and fillers.  She views aesthetic medicine as  artistry and recognizes the importance of tailoring care to each person’s individual needs.  A calligrapher and artist, Dr. Sadikman combines her keen eye and steady hand with her medical knowledge to improve people’s self-image and well-being.

Mahin Huschmand

Aesthetician

Mahin Huschmand was born in Tehran, Iran and graduated from the University of Tehran with a Master’s Degree in Art and History. She continued her artistic interests by studying at the School of Beauty and Aesthetics in Frankfurt, Germany. She then practiced aesthetics at a German Dermatology Clinic before moving to the United States. Prior to joining Nival Spa, she owned “Mahin’s Euro Day Spa” in Bethesda, Maryland for 10 years. She has more than 25 years of experience as an Esthetician and specializes in chemical peels and is licensed in semi-permanent make-up. In 2008 won the “Best of Montgomery County in Permanent Cosmetics” Award by the US Local Business Association.

Sedi Bahramanian

Aesthetician

Sedi was born in Tehran, Iran and has 20 years of experience in skin care. Prior to embarking in a career in aesthetics, Sedi worked in finance as an assistant to the President of a bank. She later trained and practiced her craft in Denmark for 5 years until moving to the U.S.  Before coming to Nival Salon and Spa at the Collection, Sedi worked at Red Door Salon and Spa for 12 years. Sedi specializes in brow shaping, skin brightening and anti-aging facial techniques such as microdermabrasion and chemical peels.

Tyson Kim Cox: 

Master Aesthetician

Tyson is committed to cutting-edge aesthetic training and technology, going back to not just his esteemed education at the world-renowned National Institute of Medical Aesthetics, but also to his heritage.  Coming from Utah, the Beehive State, there is a strong tradition of self-reliance, natural remedies, and tradition, which is seamlessly integrated into a forward thinking, technological, and scientific culture.  Studying his craft in a state solidly based in tradition, with out-stretched arms to the future, allows him to have the best of both worlds, in providing tried and true skin care regiments, while also keeping his finger on the pulse of skin care technological innovations.  This advantage has propelled Tyson into studying and exploring other traditional cultures, and skin care traditions.  Most notably, being able to explore and experience skin care traditional science and culture from the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, to the Native American lands of Wyoming.  Tyson have a strong commitment to scientific discovery and advancement in skin care science, with even stronger roots in it’s history and culture.  With both of these attributes, he provides a unique and specifically tailored skin care experience to all of his clients.

Kelley Unthank

Resident Make-Up Artist and Retail Specialist 

As Nival’s resident make-up artist, Kelley Unthank attracts high profile clientele in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area, including several celebrity faces and blushing brides. Kelley has five years of experience in make-up artistry and served as a lead artist for MAC Cosmetics for three years. Her innate talent and passion led her to grace the pages of Essence magazine, along with other influential fashion prints. Kelley excels in all types of skin tones, complexions and can create all looks from natural beauty to avant-garde.
