Emily Villalva is a vital part of Nival Salon and Spa at The Collection. As a former child model, she has shown a keen interest in fashion and beauty at a young age. As a multi-faceted and versatile individual, Emily also has a background in psychology and children. In the past, she worked at a Preschool and at a Group Home for youth with behavioral issues. Emily received her MBA from the University of Texas at El Paso. She worked with Aveda for several years in Texas before moving to DC to assume her current position as business director in 2007. As a business visionary and compassionate manager, Emily foresees continued success and growth in Nival’s future.
At Nival Salon and Spa, Therese spearheads all marketing and public relations campaigns. She is in charge of event planning, sponsorships, ad buying, and product integration. Currently, Therese is working on updating Nival’s website and search engine positioning. On a daily basis, she scans and optimizes Nival’s presence on a variety of social media channels. Furthermore, she serves as a media relations specialist on a local, regional and national level. Therese has three years of experience in the communications industry. Life opportunities had given her insider experience in the world of fashion and luxury branding, where she was able to work at lingerie tradeshows and at events during New York Fashion Week. Therese is an American University alumni and is currently pursuing graduate studies at Georgetown University.
Monica Ortiz is an energetic and enthusiastic part of the Nival Salon and Spa management team. As Floor Manager, Monica is responsible for overlooking the salon and spa and manages retail inventory. Monica studied in Mexico before moving to the United States in 1995. Monica served as a General Manager at an Aveda Salon in Texas for four years. In the past, she managed several retail stores and has over 12 years of experience. Additionally, Monica has experience in the hospitality industry and managed a restaurant for eight years. Passionate about customer service, Monica is an integral member of the client services team and will continue to grow at Nival for many years to come.
Oumie Secka is a vibrant and dynamic Floor Manager at Nival Salon and Spa. For the past two years, Oumie has served as a leader on the client services team. She surpasses client expectations and ensures everyone leaves Nival with a smile. Prior to working at Nival, Oumie worked at Ipsa Salon for a year and has five years of retail experience. Passionate about the beauty industry, she is a genuine people person who prides herself on customer service. Oumie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and plans to continue her education in the near future.Pages:
